Le Specs Luxe release 'NUCLEUS'

Le Specs LUXE Nucleus collection. A dedication to advanced technical elements and innovative materials has lead to a collection of foundation finishes and trend-setting shapes. The collection draws on the minimalism style of the 1990s, reinvented for a modern wearer excited by fashion-forward design and custom detail.

The foundation for this season is a campaign that highlights the clean graphic lines, simplicity and assured nature of a subtly detailed eyewear collection. Photographer Dave McKelvey has come together with Le Specs to tell the LUXE springtime story, on this occasion with two new faces: Gemma Ossen and Kane Alexander. Moments are captured against a backdrop both graphic and natural, objects are reflected in high quality lenses and the crisp white basis balances with movement achieved under Sophie Robert’s artistic direction, as the final component of the seasonal nuclear team.

“Advances in metal applications is the focus of the Luxe collection this season. New faceted metal textures have been developed and applied to cool and nineties shapes, and also the classic aviator silhouette. The palette is pared back, with muted tones of burgundy and tan against soft mirror lenses that make a statement, yet still feel  effortless.” Hamish Tame, designer.

Shapes are reinvented for a modern era, including the unique teardrop shape of the Bazaar, alongside the faceted detail of metal rims. All styles are available in a timeless palette of black, silver and gold as well as an update of the mirror lens with graduated treatments of rose, garnet, burgundy, gold and smoke hues. The neutral shades of Katoch are introduced, with a translucent matte effect of sand and ochre tones, signalling a new direction in matte detailing for the brand.

Le Specs release 'Escape to the Exotic'

Liberate yourself from the everyday with Le Specs’ latest collection
Escape to the Exotic.

Capturing sundrenched days in the tropics, bold classic & confident summer styles have been updated with a modern and unexpected twist on colour and detail. Global experts in forward-focused designs and innovative detailing, Le Specs continues to build on futuristic finishes across the 22 new style collection. Bringing
together signature fashion and functionality, Le Specs extends its focus on technical details such as polarised lenses and metal application top-bar detailing, in vibrant pinks and golds. This stylish mix is seen in shapes of the futuristic La Habana and an updated softened aviator style of Liberation.

With introduction of a new colour palette, including a striking contrast of firecracker red lenses pared back with translucent frames. Lenses of clear blue skies and pink and gold hued sunsets accompany chic black and tortoiseshell tones to round out the collection colour palette. The contrasting combinations of lens and frame speak to a mood of endless vacation, demonstrated perfectly by the limited edition The Prince created in collaboration with the W Hotel Maldives.

The collection was inspired by the luxe island nation and shot onsite across the sands of the W Hotel Maldives and nearby tropical islands, surroundings that perfectly reflect the spirit of a tropical escape and the dream-like energy of summer that Le Specs embodies.

Le Specs designer Hamish Tame explains, “This season was all about experimenting with colour in more exotic ways – sunglasses that you could imagine wearing anywhere from Cuba, to the Whitsundays or Maldives. The palette is hot and balmy, and the shapes make you feel confident. From a technical point of view I really wanted to focus on coloured metal finishes combined with translucent materials, which feels really fresh and new.”
